Traffic and Pedestrian Safety
Changes to Briarcliff Road and North
Druid Hills Road
The DeKalb County Department of
Transportation (DOT) hosted a public information open house on October 9
about changes to Briarcliff Road that include turn lanes, signal
improvements, and pavement widening. These are identified as short-term
solutions to safety and congestion issues. The DeKalb County DOT stated they
have developed conceptual plans for changes to the entire Briarcliff
corridor that are currently unfunded, but did not provide these conceptual
plans to the public at the October 9 open house.
Please note that the project maps listed
below are very large
files with high resolution (7 to 14 mbs.) and may take a considerable length
of time to download for viewing.
